Koinly’s transaction review workflow would benefit from a major usability update, especially for users with multiple wallets, active trading histories, or complex DeFi activity.
The current process often requires users to already understand how Koinly imports, groups, and classifies transactions. It can be difficult to determine which transactions genuinely require attention, why a transaction was classified a certain way, or what correction should be made.
A redesigned review workflow could include:
• A clear list of transactions that require action
• Explanations of why each transaction was flagged
• Better navigation between related transactions
• Improved bulk-review and bulk-editing tools
• A reconciliation dashboard showing progress and unresolved issues
• Clearer guidance for transfers, swaps, deposits, withdrawals, rewards, and DeFi activity
• A distinction between confirmed errors and transactions that are simply unusual
The goal should be to help users understand what Koinly detected, how it reached its conclusion, and what action, if any, the user should take.
This would make Koinly easier for newer users to understand while saving experienced users significant time during reconciliation.
