Pulsechain (PLS) API Error: too much data for one sync, try syncing again

When I try to sync my Pulsechain wallet using my public key, I get an error:

Error: too much data for one sync, try syncing again

And no new transactions get imported if I click "Sync now" - I just receive the same error again but my import is incomplete

I have a large pulsechain wallet, over 50k transactions
