When filtering, let's say for "Show Deleted", the page count grows. If you navigate to a page that is near the end of the available pages and then remove your filter for "Show Deleted" the page count disappears. I believe when you are "out of bounds" on a page # greater than the available # of pages it should force you into the last page.
